Thatching Repairs

Thatching repairs involve repairing or replacing damaged layers of thatch on a roof to maintain its structural integrity and aesthetic appearance.
 

Re-ridging  

All wire will be removed and your ridge will be stripped completely, a new ridge will be laid in long straw and patterned with new woodwork.
your existing coat will then be dressed back to life and any areas that need repairs will be repaired.
all eves and barges will be rodded with new woodwork and your roof will then be totally re-wired finishing off your beautiful new ridge. 

Total Re-Thatch

Re-Thatching involves carefully layering overlapping straw too create a weatherproof and aesthetically pleasing roof covering.
All wire will be removed and Thatch stripped down to a sound base, all excess materials will be disposed of and a new coat will be applied at an approximate thickness of 10-12". A new ridge will be applied & all eves/barges will be rodded & cut, Your roof will then be totally re-wired to prevent vermin damage and any chimney fillets replaced.
